THE HAND’S THOUGHT
“EXPONENTI” is a committee made up of Italian professionals from various fields (i.e. university, economics, cultural, entrepreneurs and media world), whose aim is to raise interest and awareness in young people towards EXPO2015, which will take place in Milan.
The “EXPONENTI” and their partners are delighted to invite you to participate in the competition “Il pensiero della mano” THE HAND’S THOUGHT, promoted by themselves and sponsored by BOSCH Italia, one of a series of major events in preparation for EXPO 2015 in Milan.
The objective is the design of a functional object that multiples the hand’s capabilities and is consistent with the EXPO 2015 theme: “Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life”.
The competition is not exclusively open only to designers: participation must be in freely formed teams consisting of a young designer (maximum age 30) and a student.
The designer and student must have a different educational background (e.g. a designer with an education in science/technology working with a student with a liberal arts education).
In addition, the designer and student should come from different countries, in preference among those on the list of countries participating in EXPO 2015.
Hence the competition is designed to:
- highlight the value of the creativity that arises from differences in cultural education
- stimulate cooperation between different cultural traditions.
At the same time being part of and contributing to the success of EXPO 2015.
