ETMK has two types of membership, professional and honorary. ETMK Board presents honorary memberships to those who are nationally or internationally renown, who have given significant support to the society and the profession, and who have contributed significantly to the activities carried out.
Applicants for professional membership should provide the following:
• To certify that s/he has a BA, MA, PhD or sufficiency in art degree from an industrial design department in Turkey or an equivalent and approved department in foreign countries; or
• To certify that s/he has worked as full time instructor at the industrial design departments in Turkey for at least five years; or
• To be a fourth year registered student about to graduate from one of the industrial design departments in Turkey.
• Applicants who do not fit into the above qualifications will need to submit a portfolio including product designs, a reference file with the dates of performed works and if available, documents of courses or classes taken on design or degrees obtained, to the Board; within 30 days of submission, the Board will invite the candidate to an interview, where the candidate should be found eligible for membership.
